Sexual assault is a local, national and international problem. Statistics from the Bureau of Justice reveal that 24% of all victims of sexual assault are between the ages of 0-11. Thirty two (32%) of all rapes occur when the victim is between the ages of 11 and 17 according to the National Victim Center. “Sexual violence does not discriminate,” said Calista Flockhart, National Spokesperson for Peace Over Violence, “it does not limit itself to one group of people … not one age group, not one race, not one sexual orientation, not one country. We are all affected by sexual violence.”
